I was just another girl waiting for my sixteenth birthday, until my paranormal powers awakened.
I had the ability to see the mysterious, ethereal Faders, invisible to most. They look like humans but vanish into mist, and there’s nothing human about the things they do. I’ll never know why my father hid this world from me, because one of those monsters killed him.
But the Faders have an enemy; my new friends at Hilltop Academy. They took me in to protect me, train me and study me. Like all the students, I have the Sight and can see the Faders. But I have an extra ability. I can shoot lightning from my hands. It’s impressive, I just can’t control it.
Right now I’m only a threat to nearby appliances, but as soon as I learn to direct it, I’m going to dump 50,000 volts into any Faders I can find.
