Arkham: Reanimated
Brandon BerntsonWhen a human spider jumps in front of the coupe, Macky steers the car into a ditch, leaving them stranded. Taking refuge at the Bannister Inn, they discover the town isn't what it used to be. The rain is so torrential, it feels like a curse. As Macky investigates, Herbert West's name keeps making its way into the conversation - along with a past riddled with experimentation, madness, and murder. What is the green glow emanating from the asylum on the hill? Why does it never stop raining? And who's responsible for the unearthed graves at Christ's Church Cemetery? No one is cooperating, and some of the townsfolk look a little less than . . . lively.
As Macky probes deeper, more horrors are unearthed: a bemoaning lament rises from an elevator shaft, symbols that look like trees are carved in various places throughout town. Herbert West has been dead for more than fifteen years, but something is stirring in the bowels of the asylum, and the people of Arkham are trying desperately to keep it a secret. The answer lies in Arkham Sanitarium, where unearthly creatures are crawling in the catacombs beneath the earth . . . and a cosmic, ancient evil wants very much to remain undisturbed.
